Privacy Policy


This Privacy policy is as required by the law. The policy only applies to El Paso and not to the websites of other companies, individuals or organisations through whom we offer our services and to whom we provide links to on our websites.

Use of Your Information


The information collected is for the safety of our guests, to understand who is accommodated at our property and for the safety of our staff. The user and guest data that is collected (nationality, birth date, gender, etc) may be collected and used for statistical purposes and internal business analysis.

We may automatically log your IP address when you visit our website. The IP address is used to help us manage our websites and to collect broad demographic information used for statistical analytics purposes. Your email ID is used for communication such as sending confirmation emails. There may be exceptions with regards to communications that may arise in case of emergencies.

Reservation Data


To confirm reservations, we require the following user/ guest data. This would usually be the following:

  • Your Name
  • Telephone or Mobile Number
  • Gender
  • Nationality
  • Date of Birth
  • Identification
  • Payment details – (Credit card details/ other payment mode details)
  • Date of arrival and Departure
  • Email Address
Upon arrival the same information would be verified. The information would also be collected in the form of a copy of your ID proof (passport etc). The ID proof’s copies are kept with the hostel as a record of your stay.

Credit Card Data


In case of bookings made online through our website, and in case of a card payment, we require a full 16-digit Debit/ Credit card number, name on the card, card type, three-digit security code and the expiry date. Your Debit/ Credit card details are only used to secure your booking. The payment will be debited if the reservation is not cancelled. This process would be carried out through certified payment gateways only.

El Paso respects Guests’ personal data and guest privacy and will not sell or disclose guests’ personal information to any third person, business or party unless in case of an emergency or it is seen as part of our duty of care.

Third Party Websites


El Paso has bookings carried out through multiple third-party websites. El Paso indemnifies itself against all data use on and reservations made via third party websites/ agents. Please refer to the relevant website’s privacy policy and terms and conditions.

Photography and Film


You may take photos or film at our properties for non-commercial use without any special permission. However, we do recommend asking for permission before photographing or filming other guests who are not part of your group. Verbal consent may be solicited and obtained as a goodwill gesture. On occasions we may commission crews to film or take photographs at our properties for promotional purposes. If you do not wish be photographed or filmed, you are required to voluntarily leave the filming or photography area.

Social Media and Online Reviews


We may process your personal data so obtained through social media platforms or online reviews concerning our ‘El Paso’ hospitality brands for the purpose of addressing your queries and complaints, monitoring our online reputation, identifying opportunities on which we can focus and improving our services.

Our social media and third-party website pages may allow users to submit their own content. The content submitted to such pages can be viewed by the public and we ask you to be cautious about providing information publicly. We are not responsible for actions taken by other individuals or organisations if you post personal information on such pages.

  • Directly from you through publicly accessible social media pages, online booking channels or other (review) websites
  • From our online reputation monitoring service provider, Ground for processing data. It is in our legitimate interest as a business to understand the guests’ preferences and habits. In this context, our interests as a business may prevail over yours.

Security Measures


Appropriate technical and organisational measures will be implemented in order to ensure your personal data is protected. This includes, but is not limited to password protections, physical protections and IT system access controls, obligations of confidentiality for the employees etc.

Length of retaining personal data


We retain your data for as long as it is required to fulfil the activities so set out in this privacy policy. We may retain your personal data if it is reasonably necessary to comply with any legal obligations, meet regulatory requirements, resolve disputes and litigation or as otherwise needed to enforce this privacy policy and prevent fraud and abuse.

Disclosing Guests' Personal Information to Third Parties


Other than for the purposes so set out above in this policy, we shall not disclose any personal information without your permission unless we are legally obliged to do so. (i.e. In case ordered by a court for the purpose of prevention of illegal activities.)
